Description

Antique upholstered wooden framed low 'nursing' chair made around 1910 probably. Turned legs with castors, carved head rest. The back is button upholstered. Yellow velvet type fabric. Probably re upholstered in the last 20 years or so. There are two curved wood brackets which reinforce the back. The timber is most likely walnut. Condition is pretty good structurally: there is a little bit of movement in the back joints but not much. The padding is still fairly firm. Cosmetically there are various scuffs and marks from age; some little splits and chips to the right of the backrest padding; some wear to the fabric here and there. The woven trim that goes around all the fabric edges is loose or frayed in a few places; it could do with replacing but that's not a big job. Well usable in the meantime. Priced for the condition Dimensions: 61cm wide x 69cm x 94cm high (seat height 41cm)
